Stock Management Solution
A solution for a client who faced stock discrepancies, insufficient reporting, and uncertainty in stock replenishment.
Due to NDA, any client names have been removed and the designs have been altered.
Challenge
This client was experiencing issues with discrepancies in their stock-level data. Traders were running out of stock or had too much stock, stock and sales were not reported in a timely manner, and traders did not know when to order more stock.
Outcome
The solution offers a simple stock management solution that switches context depending on the user, in this case, Regional Managers, Traders and Supply Chain Manager - displaying only the relevant information for their work.
For traders, they are given a device used to scan incoming inventory which updates the stock in real time, which provides Supply Chain Managers a clear overview of real time stock level data.

User Interviews and Personas
In order to address this challenge, I conducted interviews with different types of users such as traders, regional managers, and supply chain managers to gain a thorough understanding of their operations and how the challenge was impacting them individually. Using this information, I developed specific personas for each user group and analyzed their current experiences to identify areas for improvement in the future.

User Journey Mapping

This challenge stood out due to the involvement of three different users with unique perspectives and needs in the stock management system. Designing with all three users in mind was a delicate balance, ensuring a broad range of user needs were met without sacrificing usability. The new device for traders streamlines sales tracking and stock replenishment notifications. Regional managers can easily register scanners, while supply chain managers have real-time stock level data access. This project successfully catered to multiple users with conflicting requirements, maintaining clarity and ease of use for each.
